Bootlegger 100 Challenge!

2023 marks the centenary year for our traditional sailing yacht, Bootlegger. 100 years on she is still a popular hire boat in the Eastwood Whelpton fleet.

We are looking for crews to take on the challenge of SAILING Bootlegger to all the ends of navigation on the Norfolk Broads!

From Horsey to Horning, Barton to Beccles, we need your help to make this happen! Once you are booked on, we will ask you to choose which area of the Broads you want to explore. As each crew completes their leg, we will tick that area off our map, adding photos and stories from their journey. We want competent crews to be involved who are interested in SAILING for the majority of their week, with as little motoring as possible. This is a real challenge, if you think you could be up for it, contact us NOW to book your week on Bootlegger for the 2023 season.

How do I sign up?

It’s simple! Book Bootlegger for the time period you would like to holiday with us. This could be a short weekend break, or 2 weeks on the water – you choose! Then, to take part in the challenge just get in touch to be allocated to a leg of the route. If you have a favourite area of the Broads that you would like to sail, let us know as soon as you can, so that we can reserve that section for you and your crew!

Prizes will be up for grabs and don’t forget to take photos as you visit the various landmarks on route!
