Barton Charter Regatta – Oct 5th – 12th 2024

Every Autumn the yachts in our fleet are available to hire and compete in the Charter Yacht Sailing Regatta on Barton Broad, sponsored by Waterways Holidays and led by the Broads Sailing family of yards.

The Charter Yacht Regatta is an eagerly awaited event each year for many of our competitors who hire yachts from the different hire yards here on the Broads to participate in racing. The yachts are separated out into fleets, handicaps allocated and the racing is exciting and highly competitive, whilst also being great fun. We usually have around 20 yachts take part in this event which includes a series of races in the beautiful surroundings of Barton Broad. There is also an evening programme of social events and on our final evening together a special Regatta dinner and prize-giving. Many trophies are up for grabs from Best Newcomer – to the ‘No Barry No!’ trophy!

The Regatta is a long established and highly popular event, providing the opportunity for competitive sailing and great company. Participants require a reasonable level of sailing ability, with confidence to handle a yacht in company with others. Find yourself a crew and book yourself a yacht!
